The Collaboration of My Dreams Pt. 1: Kent Stetson

Selima

I want to feature you, one of my best friends on my blog.

Elizabeth

Aw you're so sweet!

Selima

Our relationship started years back when I modeled for her swimwear brand. Fast forward a few years and we both are fashion bloggers and attending some of New York’s most sought out fashion week shows. Fast forward to now and Liz has worked for Kent for quite sometime and I am creating looks inspired by his bags. Life is amazing and takes you in the wildest direction towards your destiny and connects you with amazing souls on the way there.

Elizabeth

I agree, it is so fascinating the people you meet and lives that you touch along the way. When paths cross, it changes your destiny. I am so grateful for you.

Selima

When did you start working for Kent and what do you do for him?

Elizabeth

I started working for Kent part time in January of 2014 which became a full time position in October of 2015. It has been six years in total! I am the Public Relations and Account Manager but I wear many hats. There is always something to do! My biggest job is building exposure for the brand.

Selima

Where was your love of fashion birthed from? How has your relationship to design and fashion changed over the years?

Elizabeth

I designed my own doll clothes as a child but I revisited my love for design in high school. I was an art student at JMW when I found my love for fashion as wearable art. I started designing my own bikinis in my senior year and throughout college. I found that I really enjoyed fashion PR and the promotional side of fashion better than design.

Selima

Who are your style icons?

Elizabeth

Olivia Culpo and Olivia Palermo are two of my top style icons.

Selima

What do you love about working for Kent? What do you love about his bags? What are your favorite bags?

Elizabeth

I really enjoy being able to pick and choose the pr projects I want to pursue. He gives me full reigns on that, which is really nice! I love that the bags are handmade here in Rhode Island, creating local jobs to talented people in the fashion industry. My favorite bags are Splash, Dripping in Gold, and Topaz Geode. https://shop.kentstetson.com/products/splash-clutch?_pos=1&_sid=b9b71163a&_ss=rhttps://shop.kentstetson.com/products/dripping-in-gold-clutch?_pos=1&_sid=2c67d23eb&_ss=rhttps://shop.kentstetson.com/products/topaz-geode-clutch?_pos=1&_sid=3f5c91819&_ss=r

Thanks darling. It was such an honor featuring you in part one of my Kent Stetson collaboration. Stay tuned subscribers for part two and another exciting interview.

Oyster Look

To say I manifested this dress would be no understatement. I have been dreaming and pinning very similar dresses like the one you see in these photos since the summer time. And so of course you can imagine how emotional it was when I walked into Crossroads Trading Co and there it was in all its glory. I immediately purchased this darling, Belah dress. I knew I wanted to pair it with my Oyster Kent stetson purse and shoot it at the beach. It was just a matter of what beach to shoot it at when I came across the legendary El Matador beach. It's like heaven on Earth. I decided to complete the look with a vintage high waisted brief from Skinny Girl and Aerie Bra.

Donut Look

I came across this sexy, chic denim dress of my dreams at Los Angeles's most sought after designer thrift shop, Wasteland. This seductive, girl next door dress is a direct production of I AM GIA, one of the sexiest brands around. I decided to pair this look with a barefoot and my favorite donut Kent Stetson clutch. Our furry and human friends are baffled to discover that this donut is actually a donut. I have an obsession with donuts so of course this bag would be the bag of my dreams. I shot this look at Playa del Rey with one of my dear friends on the beach and board walk. What a dreamy neighborhood.

Pizza Look

I picked up this holographic set from Crossroads. It was created by the hilariously named brand My Mum Made It. I'm not a sporty or athleisure girl but I couldn't pass up this set. I am a sucker for anything holographic. I decided to pair it with my wild Steve Madden platform sneakers which are always a crowd pleaser. I decided to finish the look with my second favorite Kent Stetson clutch, the pizza bag. This is also a fan favorite of our four legged cat and do friends as well as humans a like. It's fooled quite a few people. I have been dying to shoot at a tennis court or basketball court and this sporty look seemed fitting.
