Snakeskin Dreams

As I sit here on my new pink velvet blush couch reflecting on this look and the past week I am full of gratitude. I spent the past couple days in the magical land of Joshua tree with two of my closest friends. As I continue to bask in the beauty and nature present all around me in Los Angeles and California I can't help but recognize how therapeutic spending time in nature is. My trip in Joshua tree was full of taking in some of the rarest cacti, flowers, creatures, and trees. From climbing rock mountains, to laughing uncontrollably for hours, to sleeping in a hammock and relaxing in a hot tub my soul feels renewed. My friends Will and Evan and I stayed at a Airbnb off the beaten road. It's always lovely to see how other people live and see life through their lives. Twas' a beautiful spiritual journey that I wanted to share with you all before I talk about this look. I tapped into my soul and the oneness that exists in us all. I felt the breath and heart beat of the wind, trees, and flowers. We live on a glorious earth and I am grateful everyday for how it serves us and continues to remind us all of the wisdom it has to offer us. I highly suggest spending time in Joshua Tree if you get the chance. It truly feels like another world, like you are on Mars.

On to this look. I have been looking for snake skin knee high boots for quite some time so when I came across these beauties from Zara I ordered them immediately. Wild story. I was looking around Buffalo Exchange, a wonderful thrift shop when I saw this hand bag. I purchased it hoping it would match the shoes I had just ordered from Zara. When my shoes arrived I held my breath hoping the two would magically match and you know what? The universe granted my request. I got the shoes and bag a while back and have been searching for a dress to pair with them. I toyed with the idea of pairing it with a shirt dress or a belted blazer look when I came across this flattering Juicy Couture dress with simple, flirty details. I fell in love and knew it would go perfectly with the snake skin pieces. As you know I have relocated to Los Angeles and am looking for more designer and vintage thrift shops so if you have any favorite places let a girl know. For now I have frequented Wasteland (perfect for designer and couture pieces), Crossroads Trading Co, and Buffalo Exchange. I look forward to sharing more looks with you and my discoveries of other thrift shops.
