NYFW Day 2: Plaid Clueless Look

I have never owned something that made me feel more like Dion and Cher in Clueless. I watched Clueless a few months ago after a friend suggested I watch it. I fell in love with the film immediately and would add it to my list of top favorite films and that’s huge for me as a film lover. I fell in love with the all of the wonderful two piece sets that Dion and Cher wore, their thigh high socks and posh attitudes. If they ever make a remake of that movie I’ll be having my agent submit me for it. This set is from one of my all time favorite online brands Storets worn by some of the most iconic bloggers including Negin Mirsalehi, Camila Coelho, and Aimee Song. I picked up the set from Crossroads Trading Co. My favorite color is purple and I own no purple clothing. So I was excited when I spotted this plaid set in lavender, white, and bronze. The skirt is a mini pencil skirt with a wonderful form fitting fit. The blazer is short sleeve with two wonderful deep side pockets and one faux pocket. It has a looser more vintage fit to juxtapose the flirty fit of the skirt. I paired the skirt with a nice Turtleneck Qed London from Asos sweater. After all it’s winter and I needed to be warm going to shows. I then completed the look with patent leather white boots from Zara. All of the pieces are from Crossroads. The day I wore this look it wasn’t too cold so I threw my fur coat over the look and I was as snug as a bug in a rug.
