Faces and Gowns

I live for this gown. I bought this Alice McCall gown a while back. I was trying on a bunch of pieces to find some looks for New York Fashion Week and I saw this dress on a rack that was off limits at one of my favorite vintage, luxury brand designer thrift shops. I asked one of the girls who worked there if I could try it on and she said no. I couldn't take no for an answer. This gown was everything in my dreams so I waited till she switched out with another one of the girls working there and tried asking again and she was like "Of course doll". I tried it on instantly. It fit me like a glove and I bought it immediately. Aside from this shoot I have not had an occasion yet to wear it to and have vowed I am going to wear it to my first big TV or Feature Film premiere. From the delicate fabric, to the criss cross back design to the off centered leg split this dress has it all. I knew the moment I bought this dress I wanted to shoot it with Olivia. We paired this dress with some of my own patent leather Steve Madden heeled booties and a wonderful cardigan from The Op Shop that was black and embroidered with black sequin and flower details from the fabulous Wednesday Vintage. This wall art we found of a face was just so perfect. I felt like I was part of the art.
