This Zara dress is definitely something out of my comfort zone. In fact, this whole look doesn't scream Selima's personal style aesthetic. I spotted the dress and couldn't resist trying it on. There was something very alluring and enticing about it and wearing something that was out of my comfort zone. I love the simplicity of the green and white stripes, the fun shoulder details, the light material, and the longer midi dress length. It's very flirty, mature, and fun. I feel like a modern New York women in the dress. I feel like a young stylish Upper East Side mom grabbing a quick bite out with her friends at Buvette in between errands. I love how clothing can really shape the way you feel and interact with the world and people around you.

I decided to pair this dress with my staple Steve Madden tan booties to give me that extra height a short gal like me needs when wearing a midi dress. I finished the look with a flowy, colorful, light scarf that I turned into a belt by Vanessa Gouden and delicate, feminine jewelry by M Kindred. This outfit is a great summer outfit. All of the fun pops of color truly brightened my day and those around me.
